Wellderly is the part of my practice devoted to older adults. The premise is simple: with the right kind of movement and breath practice, the later decades can be strong, mobile, and socially rich. Every session is adapted for real bodies. Chairs welcome, walking frames welcome, scepticism welcome. I facilitated Banyule Council's Carers Community for four years (2019 to 2023) and have taught older adults across local leisure centres for longer, and the change I see most is rarely flexibility. Confidence comes back first.
Who It ServesPrivate gentle yoga and breathwork sessions at home, one-to-one or with a partner or friend. Strength, balance, breath, and ease in the body, built slowly and safely.
Arranging support for a parent? I work with families to set up a regular session a parent will actually enjoy, and I'm comfortable being part of a wider care arrangement, including alongside Support at Home services. Carers are welcome to join the practice; you carry a load too.
Weekly or fortnightly group programmes for aged-care facilities and retirement villages: chair yoga, gentle movement, breathwork, and social connection, with programme planning, resident feedback, and progress notes for your lifestyle team.
Current First Aid Level 2 and CPR, Working With Children Check, police check, and professional indemnity and public liability insurance. Every movement has a gentler version, and no one is ever pushed past what their body is offering that day.
Chair-based options for every practice. Falls-aware sequencing focused on balance, leg strength, and getting up and down with confidence. This is a real practice, adjusted with respect, never a patronising one.
Gentle yoga and breathwork can support balance, mobility, sleep, and mood in older adults. I make careful claims, track how participants are actually going, and report honestly. Sessions complement medical care; they never replace it.
The class gave me time to refocus on myself as a person, and for a while forget that I'm a full-time carer. Being among other carers helped too.

I thoroughly enjoyed Sindhu's class, and she helped me in so many ways. My doctor had advised me to move more for my emotional health, and these sessions have been exactly that. As a carer on a pension, keeping my body and mind well means a great deal.

For families: book a free 15-minute call. For facilities: ask about a pilot programme, a short block to see how your residents respond before any ongoing commitment. And if I'm ever unwell, you'll hear from me well before the session and we reschedule; no group is left waiting on a no-show.
